Slavery in the Islamic world had less 2 do with race than in the West. Women taken as concubines in Arab hareems were given status above slave women in USA. Their children were raised & absorbed into society. So many people in those regions 2day have African ancestry as a result

Anctient Greece and Rome enslaved ppl of all races (even fellow citizens). Largely due to conquest or payment of debts. Race was not the determining factor. It’s weird that ppl think Western Civilization started with the atlantic slave trade.
