He’s saying certain African communities sold neighboring tribes to Europeans, ignoring that they did this under duress (“find us slaves, or be enslaved”). The scene: a man steals his neighbors heroin, then threatens to murder his neighbor’s family if he doesn’t provide more.

I don't like his analogy, but tribes were capturing and enslaving way before Europeans arrived. They were not forced to take part, this was part of their business.

Would you like to present an opposing argument? African tribes enslaved and sold other Africans. Period. They sold them to Arabs, they sold them to Europeans.

Accuracy here needs 2 challenged. The Arab slave trade was trickle trade involving specific ethnic groups. The people sold were either undesirables or prisoners of war. The transatlantic slave trade was an industrial activity involving millions in smaller time frame....

Europeans traded for slaves with guns and ammunition, not to mention other goods. Look how touchy everyone is about the 2nd amendment and the right to bear arms. You have it wrong about who the dealer is, who the buyer is, and what the drug is.
