I don’t quite follow – the Islamic slave trade was 200 times larger than the slave trade in America.https://twitter.com/misterernest/status/1095436085486743552 …

Wierd! Why do you think so many of the slaves turned out to be black then, and so many of the owners white? Also, why do you think race was explicitly coded into laws governing slavery?

Where are the blacks in the Middle East? Most of the male slaves were brutally castrated, 90% did not survive.

The Roman Empire took mostly white europians as slaves. Does it make slavery more or less disgusting? Every culture had slavery at one point in history. Humanity as a whole should understand this, prevent it from happening today and in the future.

You don't know how to answer him, so you use the "It-is-bad-but-they-did-worse' trap card. Same with trump supporters who can't defend Trump on something so they say Obama or Clinton did worse. But hey, it doesn't work.

hard to have modern conversations about how if you were not muslim, or did not convert (if conversion was attempted) the faith has no issues with enslaving you, adn it was the north africans working their way down the continent for the greater part.

200 times? Historians argue that 12.5 million Africans were subjected to the transatlantic slave trade. You are saying that the Arabic slave trade sent 250 million Africans? High estimates are 15m-17m. Sounds like you’re full of it again. #racist

How many times are you going to use this garbage comparison? I also like how you draw a distinction between the Atlantic slave trade and American slave trade, yet you have no problem grouping every Arab country to make a comparison the other way.

For the 1000th time, intra-African slavery was a totally different thing than chattel slavery in the Americas.
