You can say “whites owned slaves,” even though very few white people ever owned slaves – but if you say “blacks sold slaves,” everyone loses their mind!
The women and children did not own the slaves, perhaps you would like to refine your statistics to be a little bit more honest and accurate.

I’m with you but that’s a weak response. Anyone reasonable would look at households and not the per capita figures of slave ownership.
