Yeah man just keep tweeting through it
Just because West was first enlightened against this barbaric practice doesn't make West lose the moral guilt and burden associated with slavery. Western slavery was on such an extreme scale because of its superior technology, finance capitalism and appetite for cash crops.
Myths. Slavery in America peaked at 4 million. There are about 40 million slaves living today. Obama reintroduced slavery into Libya in 2011, and zero identity politicking leftists even bother to mention it, let alone do anything about it.
I love how this tweet contains so much truth however people get enraged over it due to minorities always blaming whites for everything and leftist white people being brainwashed to having to feel guilty for something they had no saying or fault in
To me it just sounds like an argument from cultural relativism; a post-modern argument. Stefan Molyneux has always come down on the side of moral universalism so it's just a shit argument. If they stone women for adultery in Saudi Arabia does that mean we should do it here?
He never said slavery was a good thing. Just that it didn't happen as much in America as it did in the rest of the world and not for nearly as long.
Slavery has been about the exploitation of the vulnerable and has very little to do with race.pic.twitter.com/HvJ5rjlXoO
What is amazing about the discussion of slavery is that the people that ended it are the ones who have been assigned the greatest blame. Currently there are more slaves than in all of human history. The media doesn't care at all. Open slave trade in Libya. Obama built that.
