My Psych prof says something similar. He said that the racial difference disappears if you correct for wealth. It's like he doesn't see socioeconomic performance as a sitting mechanism itself. I don't think he's all that clever.

IQ doesn't predict group outcomes in e.g. sport or any discipline that requires a significant amount of improvised creativity. I'm not anti-IQ tests but we need to recognise the results sort out who are the best 'inside-the-box' thinkers in a world that needs new ideas.

How does this invalidate what I have said? Tom Brady is obviously very good at thinking 'outside-of-the-box'. Combined with a high IQ, this makes him a formidable opponent.

People who believe in such theories should take a bushman, native-american, or american outdoorsman test to test their survivalist IQ or outdoor common sense. The people in ghettos have what is called street smart to be able to get by in their area.

My feeling is that IQ is variable based conditions, diet and health. I know some days I can remember easily and calculate easily, other days not so much.
