Also, it was mostly the natives who spread the disease by fleeing to new areas. History is full of unintentional tragedies; assigning moral responsibility - usually to whites - is hateful.https://twitter.com/auny_marie/status/1091769381745504256 …

Also it wasn’t intentional. They didn’t understand why and how these illness were arising nor being spread.

NO ONE understood what disease was back then! Natives probably thought they were being cursed by evil spirits, European settlers would blame either the Devil or 'foul vapors' No one realized there were microscopic organisms causing illness.

When did the germ theory of disease become mainstream consensus, and what happened before then...?🤔

Hmmmm. Boris always wonder how many generations of guilt from past must assign to Boris shoulders. Grandfather? Great-grandfather? G-G-G-G-Grandfather? Is Boris to go back to MiqMaq G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-grandmother? Is ancient MiqMaq ancestor to give Boris pass like Sen Warren?

So shall we start a new slate? Starting now? All previous actions have passed by. They cannot be changed or addressed nor can they be re-litigated. Are you willing to start now with what we have now? No mention of the past?

So are they saying that natives deaths decreased agriculture to the point where it helped create a mini ice age? Just in America, or? Huh?

If the Indians are called "Native Americans" then why aren't the Palestinians called "Native Israelis"?🤔

The knowledge that disease was caused by germs wasn't widely accepted until the 1880's.
