Remember when it used to be natural forces rather than human forceps that caused such horribly high infant mortality? Good thing we got civilized and all...

Old school: I’m having a baby. I’m so excited! New school: I’m having a baby but if I change my mind the doctor says he will tear it apart or put it in the bin if it’s already born.

Well Stefan if you really think about it that's probably why it is what it is. It's probably always going to be a certain way that populations grow. We have the right amount of babies to move forward if we keep em at "z" level. And it doesnt matter if its human or natural causes.

People had big families back when children could do useful and necessary work. Nowadays kids have become burdens, and a girl can't let them get in the way of her career, can she?

Yes in second or third trimester, but would you want the state criminalising abortion from the moment the sperm reaches the egg? If so, you’re adopting religious mysticism about which lives are ‘meant to’ exist. Objectively it’s morally no different to masturbating into a sock.

Its not just a religious thing people care about babies being murdered. If we did not care why would invade stupid countries to save people, why would we even have a UN. Why would people care about babies trying to cross the border but not a baby trying to cross the womb.

At least you are not a zealot. I'm talking about a baby that looks like a baby and how women's maternal instincts have been so vastly changed by social programming. We are supposed to be higher life forms. Apes love/instinct their young. So many birth control methods.

What's amazing is there are people using infant mortality as an excuse to push for socialized healthcare, while simultaneously arguing that the government should fund abortions.

One old phrase about a woman having a baby was “trial by birth.” It could be a frightening and deadly experience. Now it’s mostly the baby who’s on trial.
