Amen brother. My kids aren’t saints but I wouldn’t be the man I am. My first born son saved me from a life of meth overdoses and tent cities. It’s not about the money at all. A 2nd chance at life based on the creation of life.

Fathers make more money on average than non fathers, although more recent studies show that's not due to working harder, when pay is given due to performance the dad gap almost disappears. However dads also spend more money on family so it's a net loss financially.

Yes the fact men who are married and have kids can be summed up in what used to be common phrase, "The wolf is at the door". I had NO IDEA what that meant. Having real dependents make normal men work really really hard to keep them safe.

Kids are priceless! Having your own is the greatest gift of nature available. Better to have kids & be poor, than be rich & childless. IMHO.

Two kids don't cost nearly as much as one ex-wife. Or so I'm told.

Nothing expends more energy then it has to- so having the responsibilities go up (more mouths to feed) makes you seriously work harder.
