"Mexican-American citizens have not been interned; nor... blown to bits while building railroads; nor have they suffered a holocaust by an invading Islamic power—disasters that did not stop the Japanese, Chinese and Armenians from reaching per capita economic parity" Mexifornia

Now class, what is the answer? Why did the Chinese, Japanese and Armenians reach - or exceed - economic per capita parity with whites?

Possibly because the Chinese, Japanese and Armenians struggled and found ways to assimilate. Doing all of this without massive government aid made them more independent. Independence and freedom can thrive in the capitalist society.

Aren't Armenians considered Caucasian (logically) and "white"? First Christian country, fought against mohammedan hordes and strengthened ties with the Christian West and Orthodox East for many centuries.

Avg. IQ of the groups may be part of the picture. BUT all three also have ancient cultures that value a.) education, b.) entrepreneurship, and c.) generational wealth creation. By contrast, Mexicans had Catholicism. That always negatively impacts colonized, indigenous people.
