There actually are many ethnic (eg. Finnish, dutch German) communities in Brazil but also other South American countries. They live in closed and usually very successful communities but are otherwise also very integrated in their host country

U made me think of what Ive noticed in RSA. Somalis in SA come here with nothing but within 6 months they run a shop selling dairy/ fresh produce and other goods. They own an old vehicle of some sort to transport stock and they pay cash. SA blacks q for hand outs all their lives.
