Nice pile of rocks but doesn’t really compare to the amazing culture and ideas created by the West which you are currently enjoying, living and breathing.

I'd hazard a guess that it also complies with the laws of physics, which predate most things

I love these “Noble Savage” true believers who figure because paper didn’t survive it never existed, so only the stuff carved in stone was ever discovered or practiced.

But the point is a valid. The Maya, for example, had advanced societies and were able to independently develop written language, mathematics, sophisticated agriculture, and complex astronomical calendars. Was that advanced culture merely a reflection of average IQ?
-
Probably - it takes a high intellect to develop advanced societies.
-
But surely, IQ is not the *only* factor involved. Because the Maya are still in Central America. And they've been impoverished and largely uneducated for 700 years now. Why have they stopped inventing and advancing? Because of average IQ? Or are there cultural factors?
