In Orwell's 1984 you could be punished for what was termed as a "Facecrime", meaning a facial expression that is deemed politically incorrect or improper. This is what that kid wearing a MAGA hat is being accused of.

He may be smiling but his discomfort is written all over his face! I noticed it the minute I saw the 1st video, that's what made me go looking for a longer or different angle video. He was brave to stay still when he didn't know what the drummer's intent was.

Close, but the real lynchable offense is being being proud and competent while white. And this is coming from a non-white person. Your people are under attack, so if you don’t stand up and fight for your people, then no one else will.

I don't see a 'smirk' there. I see 'bemusement'. I have great hope for Generation Z. Maybe a modern version of The Greatest Generation, who might have behaved similarly when they were teens and young adults.
