On the topic of slavery, Wasn't it the British who singlehandedly ended slavery?
-
-
-
In their homeland yes, before the Americas, in their colonies... it took a little longer, but about 20 years before it ended in the USA. Granted the UK didn't have to shed the amount of blood to end it. But still the UK is seen as an evil boogie man, no good deed..eh?
-
Yes, thats completly fair. The british did singlehandedly end the slave trade. Obviously there would be more struggeling to abolish slavery alltogether.
-
Sadly there is still slavery in the world today and too much time is wasted by pointing at people who ended it almost a century and a half ago than trying to point to the monsters who currently practice it today.

They also killed their elderly. Tossed them into the winter snow to freeze to death. Same with deformed babies. And kept slaves, often prisoners taken in war. This is documented and can't be argued or denied.

They wouldn't be to happy that Aztecs are running all over their tribal lands right now.

Not just in the US region but across the continent. To combat the evil of cannibalism in these groups there were only two ways. The first (case of my country) were the Jesuits, the second killing with the help of other tribes.

Yet never domesticated beasts of burden nor invented the wheel

Translate this into any Native language: I forgot my glasses. I think they are in the upstairs bathroom, by the window. I was reading my science book on the toilet.

Cultured Europeans stepping foot on new land encounter primitive living conditions humans, how else should have they reacted? IMO EUs were too good to native Americans.

Most practiced slavery, and probably still would today if Europeans hadn’t settled into this land.
