Do you think running to the government to protect you from bosses who don’t pay you what you think you’re worth is any kind of rational or moral solution?https://twitter.com/AriDavidMelnick/status/1086022126836973568 …

There's plenty of bosses out there that will pay their employees as little as they can get away with. The problem was much worse 120 years ago, but it's still an issue to some extent. We have worker protection rules for a reason.

Yes, it is. You group together to protect yourself from being exploited by those who are craftier than you. This is fully rational and certainly not immoral. Immoral is hogging all the resources, because you are faster or smarter or whatever, and then dictating to others -

        - who at that point in time has no other way to access those resources, how they’ll work for you to make you even wealthier - while in return getting as few scraps of your table as you can get away with giving them.

While you can simply not work for someone who pays less, how to deal with monopolies that are able to dictate the market prices and thrash smaller competitors, without any kind of government regulation?

Yes. Labor is subject to the laws of supply and demand. Therefore immigration and trade laws inherently affect the value of your labor.

Unfortunately that is exactly what a lot of lefty's believe. They actually believe all bosses are unbelievably wealthy and can really pay whatever wages they wished. To the left these same bosses are just really greedy and mean and don't pay more in wages out of spite or hate

That's a strawman. It's a fact that just about everyone is motivated by greed to some extent or another. And there is a long history of wealthier people exploiting others. Taking an all or nothing approach (unfettered exploitation of labor vs total government control) is stupid.

Probably unfortunately thinks it's the solution to all free market problems but fails to see it as the problem. Take your talents elsewhere

Lefties. Please realize that whatever amount anyone is getting paid is, by definition, exactly what they’re worth. The market value of your skill set is in no way related to whatever your feelings tell you that you “deserve.” Knock it off already.
