1. IQ test are strong predictors of job performance, regardless of education. Think how much it would help the poor if you could submit an IQ test with a job application. You wouldn’t have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on college, just a couple hundred on a test.

I've been part of very high income professions for 30 years, long enough to know that there are other factors at play as well. If one were to create a multi-factor regression on income, IQ might have a 0.5 R^2. But I'll bet other factors are high, also.
There is certainly overlap, and thus noise, among the factors, but I'd add school, parent income. So much is about 1) parental support in K-12, 2) knowing the options; and 3) knowing the paths to get to those options. Hard to capture quantitatively.
It doesnt stop there - as a teacher in Massachusetts a Master's degree was required to teach..then getting 1000's of additional credits to maintain your certification. Its all about $$ and keeping the college bloated bellies nice and full.
