Agreed. As a taxpayer, the never ending nature of this infuriates me. Welfare for the military industrial complex.

Read Ghost Wars. He is right, no one is meant to win. A war of attrition where profit is the winner

Exactly. Why was the war on "terror" created, because it's not a war against an actual enemy. It's a war against a perceived ideology, thus creating an unwinnable and perpetual war. Which is very lucrative for the boys at the top of the pyramid.

Not a lot to be gained in a fast victory. Not to say that it's a calculated conflict in that sense but I've watched carefully the economy of war. Also,we can't change thousands of years in a single campaign. Never going to happen

No. These wars are designed to exhaust US following Che Guevara's dream of a 100 Vietnams that would sink America down.

The only way to win in Afghanistan is to force them to adopt secularism or another religion.

An interesting bit of information I recently stumbled upon; 4 of the top 5 arms producers/contractors in the US are headed by a woman. Not sure if that matters but it could. The Matriarchal Stratocracy? Interesting little tidbit
