About 50 years ago I read a book concerning the degree to which various aspects of character were influenced, and to what degree, by genetics versus environment. I believe IQ was one of the less susceptible to change via education, ca. 10%. I lost the book...
Even if IQ differences are 100% environmental, you still have countless kids being raised by parents with very low IQ. Not going to be intellectually stimulating, going to be very emotionally reactive, and often aggressive. 100% environmental = massive multigenerational problem

I agree with IQ and race.A study must be done across 1000 couples over a 10/40 year life span of the differential between competent positive parenting vs not n Parents IQ ranges vs outcome.This will add on2 ur argument and give people the best chance instead of boxing in groups

We need to test this theory between IQ and being taught positive peaceful competent parenting. Basic principles don’t hit ur child, give child positive reinforcement, promote critical thinking and reading books etc teaching basic skills may not need a IQ over 60,70 or 80?

Using 'parents' implies some manner of cooperation between two adults in a functional relationship. Not a good outlook for a society that considers pair bonding an increasingly esoteric concept by the day.

IQ tests are designed to test only certain aspects of mental function and have some bias.However, they, do provide a base line for over all Intelligence. The most basic measure of intelligence is the ability to apply information learned in one context to a problem in anorher.
