I propose that this be the focus of Gillette's next commercial.

Corporal punishment as a normative practice for misbehaving children has been waning for quite some time now in the West, replaced by "time out" and "grounding". Couple that with many children being raised in a one parent household, and the effects will be rather negative.

Spanking studies are useless without controlling for at least race, income, etc. Poor, stupid, and minority people do an awful lot more spanking. As a strong proponent of spanking and a race realist, I fully expect all studies to show very bad results for spanked kids.
