“Women have been among the strongest pillars of Hitlerism from its very inception … At Nazi meetings the proportion of women in attendance is surprisingly large. Hitler has a fascination for Germany’s weaker sex …” 50% of the National Socialist vote in ’32 came from women.

Hitler and Naziam are generally presented as almost exclusively male phenomena, but it was the women who voted for the end of the Republic, after having the vote for only 14 years. The fact that a lot of women seem to be attracted to tyranny (50 Shades) needs discussion...

It makes sense when one realizes that national socialism is at its core a very feminine philosophy. The state is mother providing for her children so long as they remain children and exercise no individual will. The masculine aesthetics were marketing.

In the US, the spurt of growth of the Federal government - which has basically never relented - correlates well with the women's franchise. John Lott has an excellent paper on it.

Even if women constituted exactly 50% of that vote, that would only mean the vote was equal. In which case, you can only extract that both men and women preferred Hitler's party in equal measure, not that women alone were responsible for his rise to power.

Good question. Yet not sure if it's the right one. At that time, Germany was destroyed economically and socially. Hitler inspired men, women followed. I think women vote for what they're told to by society, not for tyranny. Women got medals for making children under Nazi.

The republic they rejected was the Weimar Republic, no? You should philosophize on why they may have rejected that.

Neither can men change it! We are who we are, both men and women. Pretending to lead humanity into progress and leading them down the abyss is a really bad idea.
