Dungeons and Dragons is fantastic for storytelling, problem-solving, socializing, incredible humor, imagination, geography, riddles–and if you’re broke as an early teen, as I was, it’s hours of fun for virtually nothing. It’s a return to the winter campfire story telling of old.https://twitter.com/StefanMolyneux/status/1084646707797811202 …

When I was 14, my fave Dungeons and Dragons character was defeated by a minotaur in the Caves of Chaos. 38 years later, my daughter as Dungeon Master gives me sweet reveeenge! The circle is complete.

Dungeons and Dragons is also great for mathematical probabilities, calculating odds, memorization, and learning how to negotiate in dangerous situations.

But D&D was and is the shit. The books were always well crafted and the art was insane.

I got into D&D after watching a series on tv about kids who took the game too seriously and would end up LARPing and robbing houses that ended up in a murder during the 80s.

I used to absolutely enjoy sitting down and creating an entire world with history, lore, cultures, secrets and then slowly introducing the players to my creation and actually let them help create it,in many ways,by shaping the events (small scale usually lol) . Very healthy hobby

If Slavers is a favorite of yours, DDO has that in their game.

I didn't discover D&D until after high school. . . and loved it. Re-inspired my love of learning.
