I’d like to know if working three jobs to put myself through college while some people got a free ride because of skin color was also part of that AA.

No way it was scholarship due to ability obviously. what you should be mad at is that you do not all get free education as you should.

Nothing in life in free. I tried to use it as incentive to succeed in my studies, which worked. More young people could use that incentive today.

Well D'uh, most Confederates, who had the bloody slaves were vaguely reluctant to take them away from the fields much less give them Guns. Odd idea that slaves might resent their position that is why being offered freedom in exchange for enlisting was a thing w the north
