This is why so many of us believe in smaller/no Govt, keeping the right to defend ourselves, and putting away a little extra supplies. There's a storm on the horizon.

and how are any of us supposed to keep that from happening? There is an insatiable desire for government spending amongst the populace, and democratically elected officials will give it to them or get voted out. The rest of us are along for the ride.

WW2 would have been impossible without massive worldwide debt.
