What a strange point.
I mean,my living room is fairly open, plenty of room.I should add a bunch of furniture because of this?
I think not.I will add pieces carefully and that they add to the room in a meaningful way not simply because I've room

Park your car in it and let a refugee live in your garage, there's room for everyone.
-
I'm sure that would be great but I'll pass. For now.....

The open space argument is used a lot in Canada, but there aren’t a lot of immigrants settling in the Northwest territories or Nunavut
-
They use it here in the UK too... One of the most crowded countries in the west but you still get globalists saying "there's plenty of space, just look at all the empty countryside". Such a horrible vision of the world they have.

With legal immigration we have the ability to root out and accept only the individuals who would make a positive impact on our economy.

@unbiasedasshole have you not read about the situation with WATER in the western U.S.? Lake Mead is reaching record low levels. The Colorado River no longer reaches Gulf of Calif. More than 100% of the H2O in Colo. River is allocated. Soon Las Vegas won't have enough H2O. -
I live in central California, I know damn well how little water we have.

It's like when people equate shoplifting as a victimless crime, people, especially those on welfare have a cost. It's not the space they occupy but the resources they consume, and it's the established tax payers funding it but aren't asked if this is ok.
-
Spot on, I couldn't agree more.

Indeed, they'll be loving literally in every square inch of an apartment with tens of illegals and more in streets where cars cannot go anywhere.

There is a lot of open land in the West largely because there in not a lot of water. People need more than simply real estate.

I'm an immigrant (not a citizen) and I pay more in taxes than most US citizens. I'd be willing to bet, on average, immigrants contribute more to taxes than people born in the U.S.
-
Lots of immigrants pay zero dollars in taxes per year. The restaurant industry, agriculture, construction etc. industries are propped up with undocumented immigrants. That brings the average down significantly.
-
I wonder if that’s enough to offset the number of high skilled employees. Think doctors and engineers. I’d bet 50% are Asian or south Asian and at least 50% are immigrants or first gen Americans.
-
Approx 27 million foreign born workers in the states. 47% are Hispanic. 25% are Asian/Indian. Approx 8 million of those people are undocumented.
-
Stats could be wrong cuz I spent 3 minutes looking

Does Nevada have the fresh water needed to support millions more people? Drinking, hygiene, crops and livestock. The world already has a fresh water and food shortage and desertification has been accelerated from the removal of ground water and over farming soil.
