@StefanMolyneux your response is making me wonder if there is a "best" amount of time between kids. Perhaps you or someone else wants to have 2+ kids. What then is the amount of time that is best spent on 1 child before the family unit is at the proper place to pop out another?

As someone who agrees with much that you say, be careful to extrapolate statistics to an individual, that is extremely unscientific.

I disagree with Stefan. I’ve spent quite a bit of time with only children. It’s rare when they aren’t suffering from only child syndrome.

My husband is an only & he's more mentally sound, mature & caring than most people I've met that grew up w/ siblings. Siblings can be great but sad if they end up always at odds with each other. Pros & cons to both but I think parental att drastically declines w/ any more than 2
