Could it be this might be attributed to the achievements of that particular civilisation rather than to the proponents of that civilisation being predominantly white? Just like language distribution/dominance does not equal genetic d/d does not equal civilisation / culture?

I think this is probably partly true. Although that being said we have little evidence that even when slavery was around during the later years of its existence in the west, it was more productive (key word) than wage labour.

That is not true. See the cotton yield stats during the last half of the 19th century after reconstruction. They went through the roof. This was done via free yeoman farming and paid black and white labor.

So where did we go wrong? The right to vote for everyone over 18? Should there be an IQ test for that? Or maybe a Conflict of Interest Voting Act, where if you're on the government dole, you're off the voting roll? People shouldn't be able to vote themselves raises by tax/theft.
