Nassim "low IQ" Taleb's point doesn't make any sense anyhow. Their achievements 5000 years ago are irrelevant for this argument if you don't have IQ information for that time period. For all we know the average could be 20 points lower today due to inbreeding (actually likely).

Isn't it obvious that more advanced achievements in a complex society require more intelligence than simple achievements in early societies. I actually don't think biology is playing a very significant role in this case (hard to be sure, though) but yeah, it's a bad argument.
