Are you saying you wouldn’t lift a finger to help starving people within your own community without the government forcing you to?https://twitter.com/Vanir85/status/1082692492296966144 …

Having ppl starve to death because they couldn’t compete within the specific established capitalist system, would be eugenics. Thankfully, ppl would (justly, in self defense) riot against a system where they would starve to death, and replace it with one where they wouldn’t.

People often fail to realize that Federal Government doesn't have to be responsible for every, little, thing, in the country. When they roll back funding for (e.g. humanitarian causes) State Governments & Non-Governmental Organizations (& regular citizens!) can pick up the slack.

fun fact charity in usa is much greater especially in religious communities compared to europe. socialism kills empathy in people instead of taking a personal step they start relying on the state to care.

It’s a little thing called “charity”. The government is not formed for this purpose. People are charged by their God and conscience to take care of the less fortunate.

Exactly!! This is what conservatives -that love free market and small government- always say! Community. People really ought to get their facts straight. And then reconsider their political stands.

There is no force - what you refer to as “the government” is in fact the people working together to make sure no-one starves.

Statism is based on the belief that others are not as virtuous as me and they need to be constrained from doing bad and coerced to do good.

I’m saying not enough ppl would, or even could, within such a system of brutal competition. It would be ended through establishment of worker’s rights and welfare, or just be fully overthrown. Essentially; after much unnecessary suffering, history would repeat.
