We all know the rules: Positive view or acknowledgment of Whites as a legitimate group in a non negative way = What's a White person? There's no such thing as race Negative view or potential to transfer resources from White to PoC = Everybody can identify what a White person is

Um no. Race, in terms of humans, is just a way to slice and dice groupings of genetics populations. Sub-saharan Africans tend to have genes that give them darker skin. That's not a cultural fabrication, that's just reality.

That's not how genes work. Everyone has a unique set of genes. If we followed your logic then there is no difference between apps and humans because we come from the same gene pool, in fact there's no difference between any animal because we all come from the same genes...

I never once even mentioned racism, only you have. I would never defend racism or any kind of hateful discrimination based on immutable characteristics. I am defending science, because truth matters to me.

Races are simply cultural constructs. I appreciate your stance on AA. Genetic species variation and interbreeding regarding homo sapiens, neanderthals, denisovan, and other ‘proto human species’ is a genetic reality Refer to “The Story of the Human Body”: Daniel Lieberman Thx

They want it both ways: race exists when seeking affirmative action gibs, but race is just a social construct when white people want to talk about it.

Affirmative action = racism against Europeans. That is racism.

Are you not familiar with Rwanda? Pretty clearly two socially (Belgian) constructed racial groups. Decades of oppression and systemic and systematic marginalization. Would affirmative action for the Tutsi be illegitimate because their two races were a social construct? Laughable.
-
That would be ethnic groups, not a ‘racial groups’. Race is one factor of ethnicity, along with culture.
-
No, they believe they are distinct, scientifically validated, racial groups. That they clearly are not is exactly the point I am making...
-
And that belief is part of their ethnic identity. Doesn’t make it true. But, to respond to your point affirmative action can apply to any group; in the US those groups are often racial, so affirmative action equates with race. Not a well constructed argument from Stephen.
