Thought Taleb was one who followed truths wherever they lead. No, this issue has exposed him. This subject is so incendiary, imo, because the ground has not been fully prepared. Ground: no immutable characteristic makes one of less worth as a person, and all work/jobs are noble.

It's hilarious because Nicky got triggered, for some reason only known to him, by your objective discussion of IQ, spiraled, and has never recovered from his spin. He is so invested in his nonsensical rant, that he doesn't feel he can back down one inch from his own mistake.

Taleb has a (arguably well deserved) superiority complex. All civilizations are equal in his view- inferior and doomed to their own decrepitude. Lots of Skin in th Game leans on this. All being equally inferior, his in-group preference is middle eastern.
