Many with high iq promote communism and wealth redistribution for yee and not thee. It's all about greed and wanting more consumers for a win on one level. Though it's a fight being fought on many fronts and its more than economic and might be even hatred.

People have different skills and abilities and as long as they are TRYING (that is the operative word - trying) to make a living they should get some help with living expenses or alternately, be charged less for their living expenses.

I think initiative, ambition and sometimes luck come into play too. I mean an electrician or plumber with an average iq working for themselves, will likely earn as much or more than a professional with a higher iq who works for someone else.

Someone who is an electrician or a plumber has to go to school (community college) for that. Do most people have enough IQ to accomplish that task? I have an assoc. degree in IT and I don't make a living wage - yet. I am new in the field.

I'm an electrician in the UK. Before I was offered an apprenticeship we took what I believe was an iq test. Those who passed became electricians, those that didn't pass were advised to become plumbers, painter decorators etc. Apprenticeship involved some maths/physics teaching

Brain-drain, not good. The minority of high skilled migrants wish to return to their home countries. Nothing against merit-based migration, but it may hurt countries that need skilled people

High IQ masons built the Cathedrals of Europe. Theoretical pursuits and practical trades/professions worked together to create our civilization. High IQ elites can benefit low IQ population immensely but will not sustain/create the progress that western civilization had achieved.

What is IQ? Just a method people made up to measure other people and belittle them. Why does it still seem relevant? Its a labeling game. Intelligence (potential) is something we all have just some have it congested for various reasons.
