Yah. NASA. Wrong. DoD. Wrong. Every non-oil producing nation in the world. Wrong. The reinsurance industry (who has to pay for the mess). Wrong. Just about every climate scientist. Wrong. Yeah. You're probably right. Hoax.
None of these orgs have predictive powers which is the thrust of the entire movement. The reinsurance industry is hugely motivated to embrace higher risk metrics, very small group (of super rich), higher risk = higher premiums. More profit if perceived is asymmetric to reality.
Wha? I hope the "Trading Everything" is trading clothes, or barbies, or Tupperware, and not financial instruments. If the reinsurance industry misprices risk, they go out of business. They have every incentive to model well.
