If Einstein feared National Socialism, then why was he a socialist who admired mass-murdering Lenin. I guess Einstein didn’t mind so much if it was Christians who were getting murdered by the millions...https://twitter.com/JailThem/status/1081987638897360896 …

Einstein, a Jew, fled Nazi Germany. He feared them.

wat???? National Socialism =! Socialism Einstein did sympathize with socialist ideas but he didn't admire Lenin, he even refused Lenin's invitation to live in Russia. Also, the mass murder was Stalin, with his own version of communism that was criticized even back in the day

Einstein was a brilliant physicist, but his expertise in physics isn't exactly transferable as expertise in other disciplines. Experts can have good and informed opinions about other subjects, just as many laypeople do, but that doesn't make them experts in other fields.

Because, as we see in academia these days, many intellectuals are drawn to socialism out of a misguided belief that it would work if they were in charge.

Socialist ideals are rooted in human tribal nature, Stefan, as is nationalism, of course. They're two sides of the same coin. We're naturally inclined to share with our tribe or nation. The problems arise from the state deceitfully posing as our nation, when it is no such thing.

Freud said his greatest fear was the Roman Catholic Church. Within months of his statement, his family was wiped out by the Nazis. A lot of misplaced blame and fear — even today.

national socialism is about equality of individuals within the race/ethnic group. See root of national as being related to '"of birth". There was minimal financial redistribution of wealth. The major redistributions were in public works, health care, and vacations.

Plenty of Christians liked Lenin and socialism. Many people are not politically astute enough to understand the way socialism is always going to play out... esp not then. You going off further and further into subjectivity
