        I don't see nationalism like that (at all). Nationalism is loyalty to the nation, meaning the people. Not the state, but the people. As Wikipedia says: "A nation is a stable community of people". And nation-state means that those people have sovereignty.

        Why do people argue about the definition of a word which is misused all the time? Might as well argue over the definition of spaghetti.

        There are many types of spaghetti but they all behave in approximately the same way. So maybe you can define the word nationalism by the way people behave.
