Most women that game play casual games. They typically don't play competitive games.

Nevermind that they factor mobile games like Candy Crush into that "45% of gamers are female." Let's see the number of console gamers who are female. It will be much different. My grandma is addicted to Farmville & Tetris, rather than esports & it has nothing to do with toxicity.

Why don't they create a women's league ... since they clearly can't compete against boys.

Maybe they just play badly?

I read a book in the 90's called, "Brain Sex," about the differences between men and women and their actual brain chemistry. Didn't think much of it at the time (seemed like common sense), but these days it seems pretty relevant.

playing candy crush on your phone does not make you a "gamer".

First it's the Boy Scouts, now it's gaming. Imagine someone saying there are disproportionately more women nurses, because women have toxic behavior that excludes men. 90% of nurses are women, yet nobody complains about it. In reality they are better at being nurses than men.

Female online game streamers can turn over a few hundred thousand bucks per year - male viewers will 'tip' them cash in ways that male gamers do not get 'tips'.

In every field where women wish to participate, there has been no indication that they are willing to bear the responsibility and burdens men wear. Their idea of a job is that it's a "privilege" only men had before, and So, they only wish to offload responsiblities.

All I hear is “it’s too hard for women apparently, so let’s make it easier for them and enforce equality of outcome cause we don’t think women can rise up and push through the barriers” smh
