The old adage, don't ask a question you don't want to know the answer to.

In Canada they were asked, I think back in the 90's or earlier. They said no. The government didn't care.

The problem is not immigration or the individual immigrant, considering that all are legal. The problem is the massive waves of migration that have been developed to fulfill a political agenda. The individual immigrant, legal and who followed the requirements, is always welcome.

Immigration precedes states, historically and morally.

True, but with governmental systems like the United States and Europe have set up, you would think the people would have a say at that point.

Immigration is itself a democratic practice. We don't have a right to tell our neighbors not to have children, even though they are a new person who might bring trouble or whatever. Same with immigration. It's a fact of political life.

What's funny, is how you hear about how we have to have all this access to birth control and abortions because there are too many people around. Yet, many of these same people will turn around and say we should allow anyone who wants to, to enter a country and become a citizen.

Which is why the Hart Cellar Act of 1965 was passed under the lie that it was unimportant, and would NOT change the ethnic makeup of America, and would not change the day to day lives of Americans
