So if someone does not subscribe to Christianity they should still swear on a bible? That seems disrespectful to those that hold the book sacred to swear on it and not mean it.

She swore on a law book but she still swore an oath !! It had nothing to do with the issue of swearing for her but on her rejection of religious affiliation which she is open about but still ambiguous on her exact views!
