Of course it is... There should be no debate there... Breed to idiots and give the kid to be raised by a couple of Stanford scientists. How smart will the kid be?

This comment gave me a vision of Galileo sat in a meeting with his telescope and a group of nervous clerics. Him sighing with his head in his hands.

Three generations of marrying up. Wow how fast that IQ can tumble. Reminds me of the time my friends father in law handed him three Rubic cubes to “play”.

70% interesting. I would think environmental influences dictate the ability to use one's IQ.

Wait... are you linking this in support of the gene-IQ link or as support to disprove the gene-IQ link? It's not clear.

That's funny, if you do it right, parents are responsible for your childhood environment too. Somebody tell @HuffPost

This is pretty much in line with what I was thinking. The maximum and overall distribution shape is largely genetic. But improving environmental factors could make an enormous difference to the average when existing circumstances are not conducive to improving.

Everything is hereditary Everything we are we get from our DNA Diet, sanitation, education can maximise our potential but it can't raise where you start from

That intelligence is hereditary is true for individuals, and families, but *not* for any larger groups. Peoples can be geographically isolated for 70,000 years, and they all stay *exactly* the same. Got it, SM?
