So blacks not part of US culture should score the same as East Asians? Have you checked that out?https://twitter.com/KunchokTendar/status/1080303317845069825 …

The reasons are simple: culture. Modern black American culture has a big toxic side & it doesn't value education & early childhood development enough. That plus lingering institutionalized racism. Take Flint Michigan: all that lead in pipes is bound to hurt kid's development.

Here's the rub. Blacks in the U.S. have higher I.Q.s than blacks anywhere else in the world (85). So if U.S./western blacks are encumbered by institutional racism, etc., then what does that say about all other black populations, who have an I.Q. of one standard deviation lower?

The mainstream American culture passes on work in the form of certain jobs & certain studies to which ever group is capable of donkey work. Some asians groups such as Chinese Indian Korean etc are viewed as good donkeys. In this fact Some clever people see racism but there ain't

Many Singapore friends who immigrated say, “As long as they keep the (pay) cheques coming, and they don’t say it to my face, it’s a free country.” In Singapore, saying such insensitive things will land you picked up and detained under the Internal Security Act w/o trial.

"Experimentum solum certificat in talibus", as Albertus Magnus said. You and @nntaleb should look at the outcomes - who is reaching the Moon& who is not. Socialism is always rewarding thugs / punishing high IQ. That is why individuals with IQ150 fail. Low reading comprehension.

What I don't get in all the race & IQ tests is how are the tests normalised in the US (no such problem in Poland). Possibility 1: they are normalised for entire US population. Possibility 2: they are normalised per race. /1

Therefore: 1 - culture differences will weight heavily on the results 2 - all races will have a normal distribution of the results What I would be interested in is the results of cross-cultural comparisions. How do races perform in tests normalised for other groups. /2

How much does a culture of studying harder boost “East Asian” numbers? Do less driven cultures like Indonesia and Malaysia score as well as Singapore and Japan?

I’d suggest that a kid in an environment of heavy mental training at an early age has an inherent advantage and also that tests done in schools during recorded history do use proxies that can be studied for.
