I think its societal and your told its what to do when you are young new mom. After growing older i have learned more and i am decidedly against any genital mutilation.

I stopped watching Seinfeld when I put a random episode on and the woman was saying uncircumcised wasn't fun or normal. No mutilation, please.

“Voluntary preference” interesting concept because I never thought of preferences as voluntary. For instance I prefer Blue to Red, but I never willed it to be so. F and M GM is wrong and cruel, however, and if someone thinks its fine, that is a bad sign.

I think they just don't know any better (or differently). I agree with the sentiment though
