Because there are religious mandates that are important, and melodramatic rhetoric shouldn’t be.

Voluntary choice = good. Imposed on infant = bad.
-
Personally im kinda glad it was done, there is benefits to it.
-
What are the benefits? I can think of many benefits to being able to have it covered or uncovered. Protected or unprotected. What are the benefits to not being able to cover it or protect it? What are the benefits to being desensitised?
-
How many times do i have to give the benefits? Theyre in the replies. Ill add one too, looks nicer lol. Ever wonder why almost all porn is circumsised?

Not my body not my choice. We chose to keep our son intact. After looking at the research we realized the foreskin actually helps the woman orgasm during intercourse. With the low percentage of woman that do, it was a no brainer.

I think its societal and your told its what to do when you are young new mom. After growing older i have learned more and i am decidedly against any genital mutilation.

I stopped watching Seinfeld when I put a random episode on and the woman was saying uncircumcised wasn't fun or normal. No mutilation, please.

“Voluntary preference” interesting concept because I never thought of preferences as voluntary. For instance I prefer Blue to Red, but I never willed it to be so. F and M GM is wrong and cruel, however, and if someone thinks its fine, that is a bad sign.

I'm with you on circumcision being unnecessary mutilation -- you lost me at "women who support circumcision lack empathy." People are complex, and oftentimes firmly hold many beliefs they don't entirely understand, or ever explore. Ignorant: yes. Lack of empathy: probably not.

I think they just don't know any better (or differently). I agree with the sentiment though
