Diversity can be a good thing, but it is not inherently so, just as homogeneity can be a good thing but is not inherently so.

It means there is no inherent value to either diversity or homogeneity and people operating under the pretense of promoting correct intellectual positions shouldn't be promoting either as if they offered any inherent value.

How can you say this? Diversity is inherently neutral. It exists as both positive and negative.

To be simultaneously positive and negative, it must be neutral in nature.

Today diversity simply means fewer whites, with maximum diversity achieved when there are no whites. Don't take my word for it -- trust the Brookings Institution. They published a paper where diversity was defined as the percentage of the relevant population that wasn't white.
