This response makes no sense. The war in question is the Vietnam one. Did you atleast consider to read the book @gregorytheleast recommended?

The US has not won a War since World War 2 and technically the Russians defeated Hitler as they surrounded Berlin, and Omar O'Bradley was ordered by Eisenhower to immediately do a 180 degree turn and to the Nestherlands.

That's not what he's saying; you can lose a war BECAUSE it was unjust without needing all unjust wars to be lost...

The flower power generation probably would’ve opposed any war, just or unjust, but Vietnam’s notable lack of legitimacy intensified peacenik sentiment & disgruntlement & insubordination (to put it mildly) among the troops.

I may be wrong on this, but the idea of "legal war" is an entirely Western concept. War is the resort when legality fails and is, by it's very nature illegal, or at least extralegal. But Europeans place so much value on the rule of law that they even made laws for war.

If the goal of Vietnam war was to protect the south’s sovereignty than we lost the moment we started playing with that nations leadership. If the goal was stoping the advance of communism in Asia than limiting our focus to Vietnam was the wrong approach
