Not gonna agree with Molyneux on much. But the "American" slave trade only last for 89 years. Between 1619 (first slaves in the **English** colonies) and 1776, "America" didn't exist. Moreover, it was the Dutch who first began the slave trade in what we call "America" today.

I advise ignoring anyone who uses the term “whataboutism” whenever people are attempting to contextualize an issue. Context is required to understand anything. Whataboutism is the hallmark of laziness and not an argument.

I am a Nigerian and I am aware of the recent slavery in Libya. Slavery is not good no matter who does it. But the world would have exploded especially progressives if Libyans where Europeans. Progressives should visit North Africa and see how “African” they are now.

If it was Europeans being enslaved the progressives wouldn't care. No one would. However if the people doing the enslaving, or just not treating refugees like royalty, were European THEN you'd have a the story of the year.
