I like nuance. So imagine this: crime clearance rates are around 50%. It’s easy to imagine that those that get away with crimes have high IQs. Maybe low IQ doesn’t predict ‘crime’ but ‘capture’. It’s a thought experiment... I’m sure you have a good argument why it’s wrong.

Actually, by socionormative behavior standards, all homogeneous populations, by definition, have low "crime" rates. Of course, what is considered deviant will vary from group to group. But, in all groups, deviant behavior, by definition, will be outside of the norm.
