What's happening in SA is no surprise to anyone who's lived in Southern Africa, its the same pattern. The really surprising thing is that there are still people in the West that still think it couldn't happen to them!

No one forced black people to work in the Republic. Black people had their own counties within the greater union with their own budgets etc. similar to the EU. Till today, no white South African are allowed to own land in these homelands a.k.a. continued apartheid.

Transkei is an example.... nothing going on there but they have a beautiful coastline and vast empty spaces and mountains but no development.... plenty of goats roaming the streets though.

Lol the Bantu migrants had many thousands of years to improve their lives. But they sat in the sun and wandered down Africa. Then they saw what Europeans had and they wanted those things. It's called envy. Without the fundamental structures in society you cannot have those things
