I do not know what the demographic mix was on loan defaults. However, I did know a lot of white speculators who caught get-rich quick fever &thought the bubble would inflate forever, &then got caught short; wiping out their leveraged, relatively small net real estate investments

@dinok1975 I worked for a mortgage broker before the crisis. I spoke to many people who all had mortgages. Lots of arms and legs, every so often a brain would get on the line. Usually I couldn't help him. Most people are interested in the things that money can buy, not the money. - 3 more replies
