That’s because nationalism is diverse. In many Latin American and African nations, nationalism often takes the form of national liberation struggles. White nationalists in the US however generally find comfort in defending structural and casual racism. There’s a difference.

Blacks are allowed to be nationalists as long as you don’t use the term “nationalist” in association with the term “black”.

Black nationalists and other racists such as the Nation of Islam and their apologists get a pass from those who just define themselves out of the problem. Doesn't change what they are. But since most people in the country don't have real power, I guess we all get also excluded.

That Black nationalism thing though, I think they got it wrong. "Black nationalism" should be promoting the development of the economy of the Black neighborhood instead. Many, if not most Black neighborhoods are dependent on non-Black neighborhoods. Integration killed them.
