Turks took about 300 people as slaves from Iceland in the 1700. Killed many as well who were of no use.

In 1843 British taxpayers committed 40% of that years national budget to buy the freedom of slaves around the world coinciding with a 50yr Royal Navy war against slavery. We lost that war cos the main perps are still at it today while they demand compensation on racial grounds

Interesting public school curricula present a totally fictional view. It's Atlantic Slave Trade & nothing else. At the local high school, students R apparently surprised to learn slavery was not an invention of white folk. No idea Africans & Muslims practiced it with enthusiasm.
