No one likes to be told their weak. Everyone wants to feel empowered. The solution both ways is to lift people up and help them shine in their strengths instead of tearing people down for the emotions, qualities and flaws we all have the capacity for.

I think that's more from males than females. Told my father when I was ten (after a confrontation) I felt like killing myself (he's had 3-4 partners with kids including my mother) and he turned around, growled at me and told me I was selfish. He didn't know anything about me.

that's a massive generalization tho- in my experience, feminist women are MUCH more supportive of men than other straight men. patriarchal norms punish men just as much as women, unfortunately, men fail to acknowledge it's disadvantages due to the prioritization of women's issues
