The idea got spread around that a college degree conferred higher wages on anyone who graduated with one. But the reality is that more intelligent people are more likely to earn a college degree in a field where they are more likely to earn higher wages. Different things.

Almost as if it was planned

I read a study some time ago that if you calculated return on investment, it turned negative over a lifetime on an average.

Never before was so much owed, by so many, to so few. Ahem.

Students who get these loans do not understand the rules, penalties and repercussions. The average mortgage applicant is much older and wiser than the average college loan applicant

We've been convinced that middle-class lifestyle = 2 full-time breadwinners + debt to the max. Compare to 50's.. I full-time breadwinner & 0 debt.

Feeling good about killing your own offspring can be expensive. The verbiage comes quickly, its the tone and inflection that takes a while to master.

Oh my goodness. Oh dear that is just really awful and really sad and really not good. I am glad when I went to college I had no student loans what so ever. But yeah I am also glad that I am also investing in the stock market as well.

Are you telling me Stefan that a degree in Native Militant Gay Feminist Basket Weaving Studies has no marketable job obtaining value other then teaching in that field or becoming a Soros paid "activist" ??? /tongue-in-cheek
